Academy of Principals

The Academy of Principals (APS) represents a unique and vibrant partnership with the key players in Singapore education: the Ministry of Education (MOE) and the National Institute of Education (NIE) to provide an unparalleled level of support for our school leaders as they lead our schools into a new and exciting era of educational changes.

More importantly, the Academy serves as an important platform for our school principals to reach out to local and overseas colleagues from affiliated associations, institutions of higher learning, corporate and industry partners to share ideas, debate issues and discuss policy initiatives, all of which will contribute towards building sustainable leadership through strong and mutually-beneficial networks.

APS celebrates its 10th Anniversary with their biennial Global Education Conference, "The ArtScience of School Leadership" on 12-13 July 2012 at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Highlights Prof Jonathon Saphier from Research for Better Teaching and well known author of "The Skillful Teacher" Dr Anabel Jensen from 6-seconds, the Emotional Intelligence Network Prof Chris Davison of the School of Education, University of New South Wales, and a specialist in assessment Distinguished Prof Viviane Robinson from the Centre for Educational Leadership Plenaries and Concurrent Sessions with fellow educators from Asia, Australia and Europe Early bird registration ends on 30 April 2012 Click *here* for more details

	This story-writing project was first co-organised by the Academy of Principals (Singapore) and the Ministry of Education, Singapore in 2011. For the first time, stories by Singapore teachers will be used in the English Language curriculum in schools. For this year, the competition will have an open category for students and members of the public to contribute their stories. Entry form is available at www.aps.sg/stories.
