The Academy of Principals (Singapore) [APS] represents a unique and vibrant partnership with the key players in Singapore education: the Ministry of Education (MOE) and the National Institute of Education (NIE) to provide an unparalleled level of support for our school leaders as they lead our schools into a new and exciting era of educational changes.

More importantly, the Academy serves as an important platform for our school principals to reach out to local and overseas colleagues from affiliated associations, institutes of higher learning, corporate and industry partners to share ideas, debate issues and discuss policy initiatives, all of which will contribute towards building sustainable leadership through strong and mutually-beneficial networks.

DGE Dialogue

The DGE Dialogue was held in Pioneer Junior College on 22 July 2015, Wednesday. Mr Wong Siew Hoong, DGE co-hosted the dialogue with Professor Lee Ju Ho, former Minister for Education of South Korea. The theme was “Looking through an international lens: Every School, A Good School” and over 50 school leaders attended the event.






2nd Asia-Pacific Educational Assessment Conference 2015

The 2nd Asia-Pacific Educational Assessment Conference was held from 10 to 11 September 2015 in Orchard Hotel. The conference was attended by over 600 participants from Australia, Canada, Indonesia, Macau, Malaysia, New Zealand and the United States. This year’s theme “Assessment with Purpose” is a timely reminder to us to always ask the questions: What are we measuring and why are we measuring it?
