About Mr Peter Ong
Peter Ong created Rested Edge Advisory, the business advisory with a twist, a month shy of his 41st birthday. Rested Edge is now 13 years old, with 95 corporate clients, of which 6-8 are active at any one time.
Leadership & Senior Team Development, plus Executive Coaching are some of the most popular offerings of Rested Edge, all of which are personally led & handled by Managing Partner Peter Ong.
Prior to creating Rested Edge, Peter was Managing Partner of Gallup Singapore, Hong Kong & South-East Asia, a role he was head-hunted to, in September 2004, from top management & IT consultancy Accenture, which he joined in November 1995.
During the 5+ years that he was with Gallup, Peter built a high performing senior team and a tightly knitted high impact entity, and together with his team, tripled revenues and profits for the geographies under his charge. It was here in Gallup that based on clients’ requests & preferences, Peter commenced his Leadership & Senior Team Development, plus Executive Coaching practice.
Peter commenced his career with the Singapore Prime Minister’s Office in 1994. He’s been on the Board of Transit Link since 2013, where he also chairs its Audit & Risk Management Committee. Peter has also served on the Boards of NVPC, C3A, Shatec and Asian Civilizations Museum, was a District Councilor with Central Singapore, and was on 2 ESC (Economic Strategies Committee) taskforces in 2009.
