Continuing Education and Training

At the Academy, we firmly believe in Continuing Education and Training (CET) as a life-long process to upgrade and stay relevant. Hence, we are committed to our role as facilitators, and provide our members with opportunities to advance their knowledge and skills through our CET programmes.

These programmes are specially tailored to suit the needs of senior educators such as principals and superintendents. They include collaborative opportunities for our members to partner leading academics and provide solutions to education challenges, or to embark on joint research projects in education.

A key programme is the Master of Educational Management (MEM) which we have offered since 2006 in a partnership with University of Melbourne and National Institute of Education. Through this programme, principals may obtain a Masters degree while developing their skills and advancing their knowledge in management and administration.

We have also partnered with the University of Sydney to offer a course for Master of Education (Educational Management and Leadership).

"As leaders of education, principals must lead the way in continual learning."

- Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Minister for Education, 2007
